here is a question. does north korea have subs?

if they do. there are a few possibilities. launch at china from sub- make to look like us or anyone else for that matter. launch at us, or any country that they choose. or try this one if the un is the one to set up sanctions why not launch at the un building in new york? if they have subs even a scud type weapon can be used aginst most countries. even if they don't have a "boomer" they could modify a regular sub with some work. it would be a pain but retrofits are not all that uncommon. the first aircraft carriors were modified battleships. also the japanese actualy built subs that were able to launch 3 aircraft each. they were purpose built, but if drug smugglers can build a sub so can the north koreans. remember the first time you build something you only have possibilities, after that it is a known thing and can be readily copied. subs realy are not a "secret" weapon that no one else has, they've been around for years. we even have "toy" subs.

Excellent question, and yes they do have subs.

China may be able to tell where nukes are launched from, but if it came from mid-Atlantic/Pacific how would they tell???

There was a program on the Hst. Ch. a few days ago about organized crime in which a member of a Russian Mob affiliate was nearly able to aquire an old Russian sub for drug transportation. Aparently the guy was brought out to an old naval dump where scores of craft were sitting around rotting away and was able to select one for the going price of $100,000,000 but talked it down to 15,000,000! Upon initially asking about the possibility of getting a sub, the mans contact asked if he wanted missiles or not!

If one could aquire a sub with this ease on the black market who knows how many are out there in the hands of potentialy threatening governments?

So if its that easy to buy a sub, im sure NK could get hold of a Russian one that was capable of firing nukes.
