Eva, the socially interactive robot

Eva is NASA's "synthetic approximation of a socially interactive human." This video is pretty darn cool. The creepy factor is also there a little bit.

Maybe someday we will have ships full of advanced Evas exploring distant planets. And when the day comes and they run into an alien they will ask, "while you wait (for humans to arrive) would you like to learn some physics?"

All I have to say is:

SPOOOKY!!

The part where Eva says" I am just a machine now, but in the future, I may be alive and fully aware" was creeeeeeeepy! It will take a while to get use to that kind of tech before it is fully integrated into society. There will be many stigmatisms that come with it.
