Catholic Lord's Prayer

I just heard the new Pope on TV giving the Lord's prayer and he left out the end of it, "For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever."

Do Catholics always do this? If so, why?

I was raised catholic and later on I noticed that also. (when i read the bible)

Yes, that is not part of the Lord's prayer said by Catholics, it is used in the Mass immediately following the recitation of the "Our Father", but it is said by the Priest.

I really have no idea why this difference exists, but I have always wondered why the Protestants changed it.

I have probably heard that ending in catholic mass 1000 times before. Not every time, just most of the time.

Catholics usually say that.
