I would suggest to the Christians do some research and take a really good look these judges that are at issue. Are they really expressing your christian views on other important issues, low-income rights, your right to clean drinking water, what about discrimination, are you aware that one judge has been evaulated to be incompetant on more than one occasion?

Yes, it's not seldom that the presidential appointments are denied him, but the generations before us saw fit to place in ways to block those appointments just in case, the fillurbuster is one of them...it gives them reason to work togther, so we don't have 51% of the representatives denying rights to a large portion of the population...

You are aware, of course, that all but 10 of Bush's nominees have been appointed with the Democrats full agreement. So why should this be a problem for republicans?

The filibuster enables the minority party to have some control over what the majority party brings to the table or do republicans prefer that they should simply get their way BECAUSE they are republicans?
