Don't shoot the messenger just because of a funny birthmark and evil "Cold War" commie pinko reformist Russian accent.

The most harmful disease suffered by the US is the cancer on democracy called the Bush administration.

carseller--you didn't defeat anyone. When your kids win a game of baseball, they win it--you don't. Your choice of words in your annalogy say enough about you.

How come losers, like Democrats and Gorbachev, like to criticize?

When you are defeated, you lose credibility. I coached little league baseball, when I defeated the other coach, do you think I would want to hear criticism from the coach I just defeated? No, I just beat him, he is a loser!

Even though the other coach lost, he still has a mouth. Think about that. Gorbachev is hitting the nail right on the head as said before. This is just one of the warnings that apparently are going quiet in the night because of the refusal of Americans to even consider the idea that the country is in danger in different aspects which do not concern terrorism at all.

The analogy was correct, leaders (coaches) win and lose, whether it is on the world scale, or as simple as a little league game.

Could the old Soviet Army or the US Army just gather up and fight with no leadership? Could the Boston Red Sox, or any pro sports team go through the season without coaches, and win?

People forget that Gorbachev had the intelligence and political flair to put forward reforms that were revolutionary in their day AND get the reactionaries in the Politburo to go with those reforms... if he really had been stupid, he would've lasted two years, been toppled and been replaced with another Brezhnev.

Kudos to Gorbachev. I'm tired of this "America can't go wrong" mentality.

What a POS and a Hypocrite!!

Gorbachev....a failed President from a failed regime is telling his fellow Commie and socialist Ted Turner that America is sick?? What a joke.

The ex-CCCP has stockpiles of nuclear weapons and nuclear waste sites that it can't even guard correctly and they have the F'ing nerve to call us SICK??? Thats like the mental patients calling the hospital staff insane.

Aw Well, we live in a sick Alice-in-Wonderland world, where the Gangsta's are the heros and the cops are the opressors. Theres no way America is gonna give up her nuclear weapons....its the only thing that makes our enemies hesitate.

Turner a socialist?

Mr. Capitalist is called a socialist on a conspiracy forum- this is rich indeed.

Jeez, people....

Gorbachev is an one-world government advocate (read: a New World Order advocate), his Gorbachev Foundation is a New World Order training ground for corporate elites and "progressive" liberals (socialist/Democratic types) to plan and shape the integration of economic powers into an international (Marxist) system.

The Soviet Union never collapsed. It's a massive deception and Gorbachev is behind it. He knew about the coup against him few months before it happened! When the Gorbachev Foundation was first established under what different name? The hint is here: Origins of the Gorbachev Foundation

Think Gorbachev came up with the term, "glasnost"? Think again: what did V. I. Lenin have to say about "glasnost"? Read below:

"Glasnost is the sword which itself heals the wound that it inflicts" - V.I. Lenin

If some of you here love or admire Gorbachev, you are all New World Order lovers!

Now, does ANYONE think that Bush would have given up his power that easily to avoid needles loss of life?

What the heck kind of question is that?....

He is the president, so yes he will try to find the best way to deal with situations...what happened with the war in Iraq is more complex and has been discussed many times.....so let's stick to this story......

Yep...i agree with you. The supposed collapse of the U.S.S.R. was just a sham....been saying this and presenting proof to back up what I have been saying pretty much since i joined this forum.

We have been giving the Russian government money for them to get rid of their aging arsenals, and for other projects, yet they have not used much, and in many cases any of that money towards those goals we agreed upon....and the anti-american propaganda still exists in Russia.... whoever thinks the Russian government is not communist anymore has been asleep for a long time....

Every communist country has always claimed that all the problems they have been having and all the problems in the world are because of the US and Capitalism....and they have convinced much of the world to embrace much of what they have indoctrinated into their own people....

How lucky for the NeoCons. I realize the more I go back and study Reagan and his legacy, most of today's "Republicans" don't know a whole lot about the Gipper, tho they seem to think they do.
They hail him and his revolution, using him, as they betray much of what he stood for.

Talking about wether or not "Gorby" is a loser when it comes to his personal achievements and actions may be a nice way to attempt to steer this thread off-topic, it really doesn't change anything...

He is right.

No kidding! His comment didn't even merit a response, but I had to agree totally with yours, Kazi. Carseller's obviously the nightmare parent everyone dreads - living vicariously through those poor kids, acting like its his thing. Their coach is a loser 'cos they lost! Great example for the kids!

Btw Carseller, I've always been a Republican, but even I can see that everyone in this nation has lost b/c of this administration's continuation of power. It's too bad you're unable to understand how that is. You will, though, one of these days.

It did merit a response, and you can fool some people about being Republican, but not me.

There are such things as winners and losers. Gorbachev is one of history's biggest losers. Why people pay such attention to him is beyond me. Yet Bush is one of history's biggest winners and he is continuously bashed?

Since his criminal organization pulled their coup de' dat. In that sense, he and they are, in fact, just that. Look at the mammoth profits he and his cronies are making through endless war.

Good thing for him/them the majority of Americans are now the docile herd of sheep they've been seeking to breed the last fifty years. Without their willingness to quietly go along, none of this bu# would be happening.

Carseller, I would buy a car from you any day...(you got one?), but Don't let the teenagers in here drag you down to their 8th grade mentality, your right on the money. Ted Turner is a POS and he should be booted outta America for sedition and treason.

Cure ourselves of being winners? OH I get it now he wants us to be the losers. I think our whole world really is on the way to some dangerous things, but I don't think the answer is for America to lay down and die just because there is a danger of things getting out of hand over here.

What are the Russians afraid of? Do they think we'll become a dangerous, regressive, nuclear armed failed state whose instability threatens the security of the rest of the world? Gee, I wonder what gave them the idea that such a thing could happen. Maybe they've seen it before somewhere?
