I dont have time to get into detail about this (I will tomorrow night) but as I teaser, I want to start this now.

Lets assume, for the sake of arguement, that there is a God.

If God created the earth, then God wouldnt be from the earth.

If God isnt from the earth, God would be an alien to earth.

If God is an alien to earth, that makes God a space alien.

That being the case, why does religion have such a negative attitude about UFOs and aliens?

(To be continued but feel free to post your response)

We've heard that before :-P

Lets assume, for the sake of arguement, that there is a God.

OK.

If God created the earth, then God wouldnt be from the earth.

Obviously.

If God isnt from the earth, God would be an alien to earth.

Drop the 'an'. Alien as in the 'foreign' sense.

If God is an alien to earth, that makes God a space alien.

This logic is broken.

First of all, you have to assume that 'God' came from some other planet or something along those lines, is a living being. And is therefore not "God" as we ususally think. Basically, you just took the word 'alien', replaced it with the word 'God', and expected it to fly. It don't
. What youa e talking about is an advanced being or beings having a hand in the creation of the Earth, which is a fairly old idea. That's not God, the ethereal entity responsible for the existence of the universe and all that jazz.

That being the case, why does religion have such a negative attitude about UFOs and aliens?

I've never actually heard religion comment either way on the whole alien issue, care to post some examples.

Pauly Shore is definitely an alien. Where's the Religious Right when you need them?

That doesnt make sence at all.

Oh and the church said they are not to be demonised if they are real. They could be good or bad. Dont let the fear of them cloud your judgment.

Right here. Howdy. What do you want me to do, though? Teach him about Christ? He'll probably keep making horrible movies, though. >shiver< Sorry, just thought about the 15 minutes of Biodome I watched. >shiver

Well, yeah. It would make Him more of a Q (Star Trek reference) than the creator of the universe To be a "space alien", you'd have to come from space.

It wouldnt disprove God, something had to make those aliens and the universe

It would though, disprove the God as we think we know it.
