Ancient Relics/artifact secrets

Ok this might sound a little wierd but im gonna bring it up anyway,

I was watching one of my friends play DOOM 3 that just came out on Xbox..anyway, the premise of the game is ..they are in the 2147 or something and so it is all futuristic. Anyway there are these people that are diggin up all these ancient relics and artifacts and when they bring them onto their ship thing It opens up Hell. and there is all this satanic stuff and Demons in the game.

Anyway this got me wondering...

Do you guys know of any stories of ancient relics or anything like that, that are said to unleash evil or be cursed? (I dont mean ouiji boards)

I just feel like hearing some cool stories.....

i can't think about any spacific items at the moment. try to research natzi scientific/archiology they were realy big into looking for artifacts (amusingly true to the portrayal in the indiana jones movies:lol. hitler was aperantly rather into the occult.
