I'm just interested in many things, I love to read about what other people think and I think I can provide some useful view points when using the forum. And I'm a huge X-Files fan!

I am an independent christian Friend (Quaker) and libertarian seeking to improve communication across the false dichotomy called the left-right spectrum. I seek rational discussion and arguments in support of, or contrary to, economic freedoms and social freedoms.

I question point 9 in the terms and conditions prohibiting usernames that equate to URLs. While my username lacks the specific final extension type (.net) for access, I see absolutely no reason that I shouldn't back up my political-social-cultural-religious positions with an easily accessable web presence. My site is soft-sell regarding commercial offerings of educational materials, even if it is hard-sell in regards to my own political and ego promotions.

I am a male, thirty-something systems analyst and USAF veteran (intelligence operations specialist 30150). I have been posting on message boards and Usenet forums for 10 years now (time flies when you're having fun) so I understand and can comply with posting protocols. I have already done some crash lurking. My interest in this forum was sparked by CatHerder's excellent Pentagon essay and I would like to contribute to that thread, ask some questions and provide CH with some feedback on that work.

This site is somewhat cool. The internet is somewhat random so I have no clue if any thing it stur or not but it's sort of fun discussing it.

My interest is in learning more about the underlying truths of history, politics, science, and current events that are glossed over ove suppressed by the media. I have my own experience and information in the above areas that I can contribute to the group.

Even though I possess a degree in polysci, I no longer use it in real life. However, I have a great interest in learning and understanding what goes on in the world, and esp re foreign relations and terrorism.

Living in a multicultural environment, being well travelled, and having lived in SE Asia for several years, I hope to contribute to this site based upon my observations and experiences, and likewise from others here.
