For those who feel that website registration is an invasion of privacy, or get tired of registering email adresses purely for this purpose,
www.bugmenot.com allows you to bypass online registration for news and other websites. They claim to have "63057
sites liberated". Simply type in the url of the site that requires registration and it will give you a login name and password. I tried it for the NY
Times and www.the-scientist.com and it worked fine. Don't know if it will bypass paid subscription though. Anyway...that would be illegal.
