Good news ilovepizza!

ROME (Reuters) - Gorging pizza could help reduce the risk of certain forms of cancer -- Italian scientists say.
In a twist to the accepted medical wisdom that food you really enjoy tends to be bad for you, researchers at a Milan pharmacology center found that eating one or more pizzas a week dramatically reduced the incidence of some types of cancer.

A study of 8,000 Italians found that regular pizza-eaters were 59 percent less likely to contract cancer of the esophagus, while the risk of developing cancer of the colon fell by 26 percent.

I never knew I was such a healthy eater, I do 3 to 4 pizzas a week.

I wonder how pepperoni affects the percentages.

That is the best news I've heard all week!! Now what about if I eat it all the time to keep from getting cancer, but my rear expands?
That would be very unsightful!
So, I'll make mine a veggie one-hold the cheese..that still count?

It's about time we get some good news!

Or on a conspiracy note, do you think Domino's or Pizza Hut had some input because this story could sure boost sales.

Dominos and Pizza Hut are to pizza as Lada is to vehicular transportation.

I don't think they could in any way qualify for the health benefits researched in Italy.

When in the service we ate day old pizzas and marveled at how they stayed fairly fresh. The tomato sauce (acid in) retards the growth of bacteria.

Do you mean 2 to 3 slices or pizzas or entire box. If cancer percentage drops, another disease rate would increase like Cholestrol, Sugar etc. We don't know Pizza cuts cancer risk for sure.
