yea well im in a band so i write a lot here is my most recent song. i already posted the first verse which was based on a favorite poem of mine and it was to close to the original so it was trashed. but i was told to repost the complete song and i will.

Do not stand by my grave and weep for I am not there I do not sleep.
Im am the grass that grows
I am the wind that blows
I am the glittering stream that flows
I am the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
do not stand by my grave and cry for I am not there I didnt die

admist the eternal waves of time
from a ripple shall the storm rise
time is a but a creation of ones mind

before I lay me down to sleep I.....
Pray and think the lord for giving me another fruitful day
cross my heart and hope to die
pray to god and hope to fly

today I’ve gone insane
cant even feel the once constant pain
krazy
cant keep my thoughts intact
death smiles follows closely but the most one can do is smile back
mere shadows and dust
this life for us
we all pass it seems
and the only thing coming to a man that sleeps is dreams

Im not emo just so u know and neither is my band

All I see is just words. I understand that, when played, it will sound much better than the words you've provided. Could you possibly record it and post it on your web site?
thanx

excellent song. I would also love to hear it with the music. Maybe you could post the chords?
What type of music is this set to? Do you have rock band? Alt rock? Just so we have a feel of what you're going for. Nice job

Actually, I just had a thought, an interesting twist on an entire album, would be to use all familiar poems, such as Mary Frye's, and have music versions of each one. I don't think that's ever been done before for an entire album. Just a thought.

no iwouldnt do that because its just not original to take to much stuff from other people. the chords dont exist because its digital except for bass and guitar and lyrics. but i will try. we are a industrial/metal/rap/electronica type thing with some grunge its like nothing uve ever heard and the lyrics are sometimes rap lyrics but other times it will be different.
this song i will probably make more grungy.

Weve been doing it before Tony pushed the coke//
before cancer was sold with a pack of smokes//
before the president fabricated the world biggest hoax//
before our people forgot their home//
before the rise of the empire in rome//
before the crusade and even before christ//
before paper money, and before the "ice"//
before Gene Hackman pulled off "the Heist"//
before it was civilized to eat food at tables//
and even before Kane did Able//
Before the the national anthem was replaced by the blues//
and before lies were propagated as news//
Before the rise of hitler and the prosecution of jews//
Before the jews, entered Philistine and started taking their land//
Before dessert storm, and millions of kids lost in the sand//
Before we started killin eachother using tech's and nines//
Before terrorism, and before international crime//
Yes its hard to beleive, but we been sinnin since the begining of time//
