Now you have totally lost me. What are you talking about?
You said that WWII just lead to more wars .. here is the exchange ....

I said - force DOES end wars. Germany and Japan in WWII
ended their advances because people fought back.

You said - Yeah and what did it bring after wards? Another war....

You are claiming that the bloodless cold war was because we
fought back in WWII? So what would have been better?? Let
the Germans and the Japanese take over the world? Negotiations
failed. You just said that you didn't have WWII in history class ...
perhaps you should read up on Chamberlain and WWII before you
say that fighting back was bad.

The cold war was not bloodless.
Here's what my point was that you cant seem to get into your brain:
When the allies defeated the germans in 1945 they made a wall trhough berlin and europe, east and west.
This caused the already frightned western countries to become more fearful of comminism therefore leading to americas involved ment in such wars as korea, vietnam, etc.

Would that be the Berlin wall that was built in 1962?

Anyway France and the US are the same country, just divided by a differentlanguage. Both think their the absolute centre of the Universe, both think that there is some higher purpose for their being on Earth (yes, that includes secular France) Both think that international laws dont apply to them. Both think that they alone are responsible for freedom and democracy.

The only difference between the two is that France is no longer a great power, it just has the attitude of one, while the US is a great power, with the attitude that implies. Neither can tolerate dissent, neither particulalrly likes lowering iteslf to deal with other nations, and neither enjoys being told what to do.

Complete misconception of the FACT's there nephew Joey. France did try to take over the world when it had the chance of so it thought. The US has had the power to "rule" the planet for sometime any yet does not. The french revelution burned "bibles" and thrust France into secularisim. Th US has a very small evil minority trying to do the same. Because france is secular they have no moral compass of right and wrong and thus let every mass murderer on the planet have safe apssage there.

The US and France are NOTHING alike, yet, but there are those euro-worshipers who are trying.

That came after, but you may remember them halfing up germany?

Ok doctor time to show this for what it is, an anti-france BS thread.
Firstly the french couldnt take over the world thanks to us and the germans.
Secondly they have morals and can fight with a passion, just because they lose one war that makes them weak does it?
Thirdly If your trying to imply france commited war crimes mabye you should look up on vietnam.....I have yet to hear of french crimes anywhere near that level.

Sorry Dr (is that an earnt or a self appointed title?), but France and the US are very similar.

Look at the facts, both seperate church and state, both think that ruling is their natural position and both get stroppy when someone says disagrees with them.

The French moral compass has rebalanced itself nicely since the dark days of the Algerian (atrocities to match Vietnam) war. The US compass has shown itself keen on torture and photographing the evidence, not quite moved on from Vietnam.

No doubt there will be an excellent reason the good 'dr' will provide but undoubtably it will be short on relevant facts and lucidity
