Ok, I havn't seen a doctor about this as I hate doctors. But I have been working outside the past week, and have gotten severly burned. My face and
head have swollen up about 1/2 - 1 inch! Mostly around my forehead, this is bad I think, could it be a form of 1st degree burn? Only no blisters only
slight peeling. I have used vitamin E and sunblock but don't think it helped, anyone know what happened to me?
Please only honest replies, from anyone who has seen this or heard of it. That goes for any guests who maybe able to assist. just register or
something, I will be very grateful.

hmmm is your skin very red/purple? And have you been drinking plenty of fluids - dehydration can make my face quite puffy when I've had too much sun
but not to that degree

Advisor....
I have been treating similar symtoms lately and i need u too do the following:
Stay out of the sun
Drink plenty of water
Use aftersun daily and make sure u don't peel!
DO NOT use anything with oil or perfume in it as it will irritate the area!
Take regular luke warm showers and make sure its tepid water as if its cold..u could go into shock!
If its not better in 2 days...doctors!!!
Nurses orders!

sun poisoning= when your body starts to try to fight off the sunburn..its over-exposure to the sun and your body is reacting to it by "swelling",
etc.

Its sunstroke, which is nasty.
Greek yoghurt is great if you run out of aftersun, just make sure the dog doesnt lick it off.
I heard urinating on your legs after you've just burned helps alot. Havent tried that and i probably never will!
P.s. Sunflower oil is not a suncream substitute

I'm sure he can find a nice girl to wizz on his forehead for him...
Old businessmen pay alot of money for that kinda treatment
She'll probably want to tie you to a wall and flail you though...

*erasing mental image*
Not sure if this goes against nurse's orders here, but I've always found that refrigerated aloe vera gel is very soothing on a sunburn, and maybe
the cool (not cold!) will help with the swelling?
Jeez, Advisor, take care. I hate doctors too, but sometimes you just gotta.

Advisor......
Forget the yoghurt and peeing on yourself!!!!
Fluids (u may have beer but nothing stronger as it dehydrates u) and plenty of aftersun will do the trick!!!
If u throat swells or u have trouble breathing...get to hospital immediatly!

The only time I see a doctor is if I cannot stitch myself up.
And there is NO WAY IN HELL I'm going to let someone pee on me let alone pay them! I am not into "golden showers".

Banshee is correct Advisor.... ALOE is the deal.
Aloe will draw the heat out. A potato will do the same thing....the enzymes (sp) act to draw out the heat and swelling.

I have been swollen up the last three days, nothing on my throat has swelled up. the only pain there is, is the minor irratateing sensation from the
sensitive flesh. In fact me face don't hurt at all, sort of numb.
I have an actuall aloe plant will use...poor plant...
