The Spirit of life (a poem)

For the herd have not an inkling
and in the twinkling of an eye
these changes rearrange us
as we aim now for the sky...

But these lies remain a butress
as they try to hold you down,
for humans are not starlings
they were made just for the ground...

but i donot deny my origins
as i breathe true spirit in.
for it was meant from the beginning
that all should enter in...

And so i dream of life eternal.
and so i must now give up sin,
as my flesh approaches spirit,
the true modality of zen.

i feel this is the best part of the poem,
its so mysterious when i first read it, thats what i liked about it.

Maybe poetry is one of the best ways to express

"metaphysical" feelings....
