Unfortunatly, many people, especially westerns, are carrying wrong ideas about Islam and JIHAD.

I am a Muslim from Syrian Arab Republic and I am honored to be in your forum.

If you have any question about what Islam say about JIHAD, The stupid guys like Osama, Zarqawi, Zawahiri, etc, and other questions concerning that, I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO ANSWER IT.

i actualy have kind of a dumb question, but can you answer it really quickly?....

how do you spell jihad in arabic?.....is it jimm, haa, alif, dall?

I suppose to start with, who all is allowed to call for Jihad, and what would the goal be? Is it just for religious purposes? For instance the US invaded Iraq (right or not) but they aren't saying that Iraqi's should change their religious views. Wouldn't this just be a normal war, and not Jihad?

I beleive that muslims as a whole shouldnt be treated as if they are all like Osama, and Zarqawi, the American Pawns in this game.

But for all the suicide bombings, beheadings, attacks, people lost in BALI, 911 and so forth JIHAD IS something I think should have ALL its members gathered up, sent to TASMANIA along with all mass murderers and rapists and let what ever country perform nuclear testingo n the island..

I heard that Jihad does not actually translate to "holy war." Is this true?

Also, do you believe that al-CIAda, I mean al-Qaeda, is an actual threat? I think they are used as the terror boogeyman.

And what about Zarqawi? How come he has been killed twice and arrested at least 3-4 times. Is he a super terrorist?

Can you give me a general sketch of the beliefs of Islam? I have little knowledge of the faith, but I am curious to learn more about it. These days, you don't exactly hear the best things about it, so I assume those things are not true.

Yo, what's wrong with you? You obviously have no idea what Jihad really is. Damn, the man comes in peace, and you want to nuke everybody who's for jihad? What if he's for jihad? Did you think about that?

And please, PLEASE don't blame the jihadists for 9/11, because they had not the means nor the things to gain from it. But, guess who had both and is most likely responsible for 9/11...

I still have not had someone tell me why the war games on 9/11, with AIRPLANES FLYING INTO BUILDINGS, didn't help us during the attack. Oh yeah, "we never heard of such a plan..."

Welcome! I am really glad that you have found your way to these boards. It is good to see people from all over the world, from all religions and ideologies having access to a forum where they can exchange information. This can hopefully lead to a better understanding of each other.

I don't have a question regarding the Jihad, but I have a question regarding Syria. Is internet access easily available over there? Thanks in advance and again welcome!

What if he is for Jihad?
I lost friends in Bali, and all i heard was these suicide bombers claiming jihad.

all you hear is jihad this jihad that.
I still to this day havent heard a POSITIVE reason come out of jihad, accept death and destruction.

the US wasnt behind 911.

Why would they bring down a pinaccle of there economy in the Trade Centre's?
Why would they leave so much conspiracy around the Pentagon.. in fact why attack the pentagon ????????? wouldnt the WTC of been enough?

911 was definaetly an outside attack,
it goes all the way back to the WTC in 93, Ramzi Yousef on JIHAD Trying to bring them down.

JIHAD almost sounds like a drug, these F***N finatics take to justify murdering civilians..

JUST LIKE THE US IS MURDERERING civilians every day in iraq,

and this is how it is written in Arabic script:
جهاد

The leaders of Muslims. If most of them agreed to have Jihad or (fighting enemies in a specific region), then Jihad will start in that region.
Palestine is one of these places that Jihad is allowed in it becase it is our land and the Israilies take it in 1984 and made massgraves of our bodies.

Jihad derives from the Arabic verb (jaahada) which mean (to strugle), So Jihad means exactly (STRUGGELLING).

Thus, Jihad is devided into 4 branches the biggest, the big, the small, and the smallest.

The Biggest Jihad

It is the strugelling of one's desires to obey God.
Proof: Prophet Muhammad said when he came back from a war: ((We came back from the smallest Jihad to the Biggest Jihad. The Jihad of the hawa (wrong desire) and nafs (the quarrel self).

The Big Jihad

It is the strugelling to inform people about Islam and God.
Proof: God said in the Quran: ((Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an).)) [025.052]

The Small Jihad

It is to struggle for your parents to be happy to you all the time:
Proof: A man came to prophet Muhammad when he was preparing to a battle and he asked him a permission to go with him. Prophet Muhammad asked him: "Do you have parents?" He said: yes. prophet Muhammad told him: "Go back and make Jihad with them"

The Smallest Jihad

It is to struggle by weapons your enemy.
Proof that It is the smallest: Prophet Muhammad said when he came back from a war: ((We came back from the smallest Jihad to the Biggest Jihad. The Jihad of the hawa (wrong desire) and nafs (the quarrel self).

Jihad will be established against:
1- Those who are preventing Muslims from their rights to worship God and inform people about Islam
2. Those who occupied one of our lands.

God said:

"Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice.
Allah only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of (your) religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up (others) in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust."



NOW.

USA is occupying Iraq. Muslims are not allowed to touch any Americans who is NOT envolved in killing, torturing, or harming Iraqies people.
Thus, Americans in USA should not be harmed as long as they are not harming us.
and Also, Buisness men, and other civillians in Iraq should NOT be harmed as long as they dnt harm us.

Finally:

Prophet Muhammad said: "Harming a non-Muslim (Who is not fighting) is like harming me).

As a result, Jihad is a war to every enemy who is trying to harm a single Muslim. So, every country is having "Jihad", But the Islamic Jihad is for Muslims not just a country.

A few questions:

Do you believe the abuse or misuse of Jihad is a result of Islam not having a religious figurehead, such as a caliphe? That there are too many clerics/mullahs misinterpreting the Koran or using it for personal gain.

Is the practice of suicide bombings (regardless of whether right or wrong) in direct contradiction to the Koran?

What punishments does Islam provide for those who target the innocent or incite others to murder, such as in the case of the Bali bombings?

hmmmm.... you know, if you think on a grand strategic scale, creating a ficticious Osama to give a reason to go into the mid east would have taken a ton of planning and foresight... but it could have been done. The CIA could create the videos and tapes with ease I would imagine.... and even with an incredible number of assets devoted to finding the guy... almost every country on the planet in on the hunt as well, yet nobody can find him. Even with a 25 million dollar bounty on his head.... how convenient is that? I mean, readymade culprit to blame all kinds of stuff on, and more reason to go after a couple of 'Terrorist' states like Syria and Iran... that coincidently have oil. All they have to do is release a video with Osam in it.. maybe some hill or something in the background.. that surprisingly looks like the scenery in syria, and bingo.... Talking about the nasty things Bush did to Muslims and Arabs will not be fit in millions and millions of pages.

It is not far to believe that Osama and his nasty group are are a myth or are nothing but employers under Bush's company of Terrorism and tricks.

And Americans should praise God that Islam is against killing innocent people, or I think that there would be a WWIII.
