I think the whole jist of the network is, having short 15 minute programs, skits, infomercials that cater to youth.

I guess ALGORE thinks the youth today don't have the attention span to watch 30 minute or 1 hour programming?

Then he says it's not going to be political?
That's funny

I already have a nickname for it... The AL-Gorzeera Network!

"We are about empowering this generation of young people in their 20s, the 18-34 population, to engage in a dialogue of democracy and to tell their stories about what's going in their lives in the dominant media of our time," he said.

Nothing wrong with those objectives from the man mythologized as a self-proclaimed inventor of the Internet.

From reading it seems the most important challenges will be reach through enough cable affiliates, and taking on the mighty ATS/BTS head-on?

I can't say I like Al, but if he can motivate kids to care enough about their society to look away from their XBOXes and get involved with the big issues we all stand to benefit.
