Definitly based on the AR-15 design, it has a sort of short-stroke gas-system, a laser sight and a scope mounted on a weaver mount.

Frankly it looks bugus to me since the gas system is so small and the barrel looks very odd.

If it's real, it looks like a custom job. Having a pistol firing rifle rounds (look at that mag) wouldn't do you a whole lot of good.

The magazine is a STANAG, probably a 10 or 20 round Mag...

If you do a Google Image Search for "patriot gun" one of the first images you get links to the same image as the one you have posted.

The homepage of that site is www.h3.dion.ne.jp...

I cannot speak or read Cantonese/Mandarin or whatever those 'symbols' are but if you click the "TOY GUN" link, you get to this page : www.h3.dion.ne.jp...

Press Ctrl+F and search for "Patriot" and click the link it finds. At the very bottom of that page is says the words "AIR SOFT GUN" (bb gun)

At the top of the page it also says "MARUI". From my own personal interests, I know this to be a BB gun manufacturer.

www.tokyo-marui.co.jp...

So I reckon it is just a BB Gun (airsoft) even if it looks really good for one.

Sorry I had to be long winded in my explaning if you got bored.

Well the bushmaster gun at least looks reasonable. The "patriot gun" looks heavy for a single hand gun, hard to control after a large bullet leaves, and too short and therefore hot to hold with the second hand.

Take a M-16 or Ar-15 and chop the barrel and butt off. There, a patriot gun !

The Olympic Arms guns atleast have a gas system on it, very AK-47 style, while the the Patriot Gun has nothing in that sense, the only way you could control that weapon is to hold the magazine firmly and hope the recoil wont let you accidentally jerk the mag out...

Those crazy Japanese truly believe in a weird fantasy world...life must be rough for them, no offense to our Japanese members...

Look at the part just above the magazine. It says Colt Ar-15. Guess it really is chopped off from 1....

Can't imagine getting a second shot off and hitting the side of a barn with this.

Looks pretty useless... those assault rifle caliber bullets dont have much barrel. The accuracy must be terrible... unless it is a fake mag that holds pistol rounds, although it still wouldnt do well in combat. The only benifit is the amazingly compact size.
