This was speculated on even before the Popes death and comes as little suprise. The conflicting dates of the wedding and the funeral of the Pope
would of thrown into doubt the Prime Minister's attendance of the wedding.
I am suprised that the Queen is sending her son to the Pope's funeral in her stead though. Even though she is the head of the Church of England, a
rival Church, she should still of represented Britain as our soverign and head of state. Most rivalry between the Catholic Church and the Church of
England is ancient and unspoken in this day and age but I'm sure the Queen is adhering to some protocol.
