Anyone know of a non-biased Historical Papal Site?

With all of the Pope coverage, I, even though not Catholic, am interested in the whole lineage/history side of it all. I'd like to find a site that covers the popes through out History, warts and all. I suspect the Vatican site is not a good source of history in terms of some of the evils commited by past popes...

Good luck. Data regarding religion will be as biased as anything you could be looking for.

I would guess an Encyclopedia type data base would be best, something non denominational.
