What the world was like around 12,500 years ago?

Supposedly the Great Flood, building of the Great Pyramids, ending of Ice Age, rain in Egypt. Any input?

According to ancient legends and stories, there have been three recorded major catastrophies.....11,500BC, 7000/7500BC and the 'Biblical catastrophy. I can look and possibly find some links...I'm sure I have them written down somewhere.
What I do find fasinating is that in each of these cases, it was not solely recorded by one particular civilization but a multitude.

I thought the pyramids were more like 2000 BC, which would make them 4000 years old, not 12,000+....

The Sphinx is believed by many to be older though...more like 12,000 years old. (and this would be the rain in Egypt you mentioned...)
