1. sublime - what i got (amazeing song about how you should love life while you have it)
2. led zeppelin - stairway to heaven (its stairway to heaven.....need i say more?)
3. nofx - corozon de oro (i just love this songcant explain why)
4. black sabbath - warpig (as relavent today as when it was writen)
5. generation X - kiss me deadly(cant realy give a reason, just love it)
6. bad religion - american jesus (great opening riff and very well writen clasic BR)
7. redgum - i was only 19 (a song about a vietnam vet and how the war destroyed him)
8. 1200 techniques - karma (name is very self explanitory...its about karma)
9. metallica - one (listen to it and youl know what)
10. toerag - heckle (local punk legends R.I.P chris burton)

Well, this isn't the best song ever, but since most here seem not too have exposure to music much older than 30 years, I'll go with "The Lunatic" by Pink Floyd, which is a damn good song.

If you haven't listened to the music of the big band swing era, you might start with "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy from Company B" by the Andrews Sisters.

Or, if you've missed the music of the fifties, "Oh Boy" by Buddie Holly.

Or, if country music turns you off, "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" by George Jones.
