Going after the Christians? Somebody trying to start a civil war?

With all the bombs going off lately in Christian neighbourhoods in Lebanon, it seems some group is trying to ignite a new civil war over there. Or at least is trying to create the fear of the possibility of a new civil war.

It's hard to firmly point the finger to one specific group, as there are so many parties who have their own agenda in that region and in Lebanon.

As in the previous civil war the ethnic cleansing of the Christian community of Lebanon continues. The Muslims of that country and allies (Hezbullah, the Palestinians and Syria) are making sure that the Christians understand that they would let the Christians regain control. They are terrorizing that community and making sure that the Christians of that country (once a big majority) are not every again restored to power.

That's something I thought of ever since the Hariri assasination. It's a good possibility that it's either the CIA of the Mossad.

Create a problem in Lebanon so they'll ask for Israel and the US to come in and save them and then Israel can occupy southern Lebanon again and the US can reopen their base in Lebanon.
Israel and the US can also use this as an excuse to attack Syria.

Actually that is what the Arabs nations are claiming that the problems in Lebanon have Mossad and US seal on it.

Funny that sacrificing some is standard procedure for the good of the cause.

I have mix feelings about how all this conflict started and where is heading.

Of course its always easier for Arabs to blame their enemies (Israel) and the allies enemies (USA) than to face the truth (that they are engaging in ethnic cleansing and indiscriminate murder).

Some muslims in that country. Obviously the general muslim population doesn't have a problem with lebanese christians, else they would've been wiped out generations ago.

Why should the christians in lebanon be 'restored to power'? They are a minority of the population, why should they 'be in charge'?

For the simple reason that prior to the 1976 civil war the Christians were a majority in Lebanon. They were ethnically cleansed and are now a minority - No other reason.

So in other words there isn't really any reason to put them 'in power'. Check. Good enough reason's to have elections obviously.

donno about the restoration to power thing... I mean the opposition movement isn't only christian you've got the Druze and Sunnis in it... The bombings r political messages to the christian who were the first to oppose the Syrian presence in general.
And about the whole civil war issue there's a theory about the Syrian starting it by manipulating the palestinians, in fact Syria never considered Lebanon a nation (hence there r no embassies between the two countries) but rather a part of its own territory taken away during the french mandate. It was all in a major plan to reunify the two countries and one of the ways to do it is to weaken the christians by deporting them (not an ethnic cleansing really they were terrorized and pushed to leave)

But what really concerns me is the following: are the syrians really out of lebanon and are they behind the bombings??? There's a lot of gossip about cells being dessiminated everywhere and syrians being naturalised as lebanese in secret ( the government being pro-syrian and the ministres afraid of losing their heads)

45% Christians
53% Muslims

The president's name is Imil Lahhud which is a Christian name.

There is NO problems between Muslims and Christians. In my country Syria, there are about 10% of Christians and I know many of them and they are my friends.

Islam is against these stupic attacks.
