Well as most of the military projects right now being up in the air, i.e. congress thinking about cutting the number of F-22s, Ospreys, and C-130Js. I just wanted to see what you guys thought about the C-130J. I know most topics around here deal with fighters but with a vast majority of the air force's cargo/tanker inventory being over 40 years old... i.e. the newest KC-135 we have was built around 63-64 and it seems like every month a new message comes out grounding more and more C-130Es or at least putting them on flying restrictions (no low-levels,no austere fields, no anyting pretty much) Currently we have 1 active duty C-130J and about 20-30 more at reserve/guard bases. so should congress cut the number ordered and just deal with the ones we have or fully buy off on the aircraft?

The C-130J is basically a new aircraft. It is bigger and more advanced. It will survive the cuts and many in Congress are calling for more C-130Js.
