Stem Cell research got a boost from Ottawa yesterday with $5.3 Million. The funding will go to study the use of stem cells to repair damaged hearts,
lungs and blood vessels.
Stem cells can be found in blood, fat, bone and cells themselves.
Therapeutic cloning is not allowed in Canada. In other words they wont be growing and destroying week-old embryos to harvest stem cells.
MONTREAL - Canadian researchers will gain from $5 million in annual funding to develop the use of stem cells for therapeutic purposes.

$5.3M will defiantly give researchers a boost. So far only mice have been injected with these enhanced stem cells. Scientists in Montreal, Toronto,
Vancouver and Ottawa would like to have clinical trials within the next two to five years with patients using their own stem cells to repair damaged
hearts and lungs.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Canada. The results from this research can change that. Myself being of high risk of Heart disease will
