It's probably for real, this has been escalating for sometime. Another website I post at that shall go unnamed was seized in mid-March. They picked the right day as it's not creating near the stir that it did over there. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Didn't SkepticOverlord post a thread about someone trying to buy out ATS. I can't remember where that went. I think I saw it a couple of months ago. That might be related to all this stuff we're seeing today.

First let me thank you all for your decision to remain and help our agents with their tasks as part of our Operation Digital Watch. I know this has been a difficult decision for many of you, and for that we are grateful.

As you know, this new initiative is the latest in a long-term plan to assert of level of "behind the scenes" operational observation within a number of large bulletin board communities. I think the 'digital watch' is a Douglas Adams reference. In his books he repeatedly mentions that humans are so prmitive that they still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.

I think this is a prank, just using "censorship" as a bait.

Nah, that would be a "Digital Watch" not THE Digitalwatch. My brother told me some stuff about them and how they gave him the creeps. He used to be in charge of the feds at but when they moved in there he's like a gofer for them now.
