US Navy's MMA Renamed P-8A May Perform Cruise Missile Defense

The MMA which is based on the commercial 737 aircraft has been given the official designation of P-8A. It also may be adapted for cruise missile defense as well. If so, it would be given the same AESA that the F-22 and the F/A-18 E/F are slated to receives as well as the F-15. It is unclear of they are going to use the airframe to replace the EP-3E as well. It may also be given the nickname Poseidon.
