FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MASS GRAVE FOUND IN AL HATRA

MOSUL, Iraq The remains of an estimated 200 people were found by soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) recently in a mass grave in Al Hatra, about 40 miles south of Mosul.

A mass grave assessment team, including members of the division's Criminal Investigation Division and Division Surgeon sections, confirmed the find by partially excavating the site located on a slight depression on the edge of a wadi, or dry riverbed.

Two pieces of clothing were found at approximately six-feet deep and multiple remains were uncovered at approximately 10-feet deep. About 25 sets of human remains were pulled from the hole, with an unknown number still buried.

According to reports gathered from local civilians and estimates based on the size of the depression as many as 200 to 400 bodies could be buried there.

The team now has help from specialists from the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, a Department of Defense asset, which arrived in Mosul July 14.

Hmmm. No outrage for dead, innocent women and children murdered by the Baathist, Sadaam ruled tyrannts we just ejected..???

No, they should be tolerated maybe???

The overarching purpose of the war was to end SH's reign of power. Not oil, and certainly not for the joy of being impeached!

Big T

I think there may be an arch or two around your overarch.

Mass murder is ugly. There have been three threads in the past 12 hours on this subject of mass graves. Some people tried to demonstrate that the atrocities are not caused by the Ba'ath party gone postal.

I have feelings for innocent dead civilians, no matter who the pepetrators are. Yes, outrage.

The discovery of the mass graves doesn't tell me what happened to these people. Just like 9/11.

Actually MA the people of Iraq have an interpretation which places an emphasis on Postal Baath members.

All of these bodies have been dead for less than ten years and the cause of death is the same, tortured to death.
