It is interesting if you do this with any other initials, letters and see if you get the same nonetheless it is a tad spooky as the site it leads you to (if you add the .com) does not have ANY contact information???

I am not saying that this site is a coverup of anything but I have worked with quite a few websites and have NEVER seen any security setup like this as it is HIGHLY unlikely this www.pl is open to attack as there is no extension to the site so it would make it very difficult for someone to find unless told about it?????

I tried www.pl and it took me to a screen similar to what you describe. I didn't try www.www.pl.

I just wanted to add that bit about it not being www.pl.com so people wouldn't go there assuming you had left the .com out.

What exactly did you WHOIS??? www.pl or www.pl.com

As the www.pl is the one needed to lookup. (no .com)

Funny it just so happens that www.pl is hosted by the foremost leading web hosters on the web???? Could you do a WHOIS for www.pl.com and see if this is also located on the SAME server??? Just curious.

Contact information for the admin changed several times in '01 I notice, once in '02, and recently in '05.

I suspect it's a research network, perhaps a school network or backdoor of some kind.



Anyone wanna email them? I personally would feel strange emailing a complete stranger and asking them what the deal is with their web presence, but if you want answers that's probably your best bet.

Well this company do alot of web hosting and other services for internet connectivity. Basically this company puts other companies websites on there web servers to save money etc. etc. So the client company does not need to buy a web server and a technical support team etc etc.

It just happens to be the biggest on the net?????
