Halo 2 - Update

* We're releasing a total of nine new multiplayer maps.
* All nine maps will eventually be available as Live downloads and as a normal boxed game disc - available at retail for $19.99 (US).
* The release on Live will be staggered, some paid, some free!
* The first two maps are free and coming in a few short weeks. (late April)
* The same day the 2 free maps are released, 2 additional maps will be available for purchase.
* The remaining 5 maps will be made available as a paid download on the same day the retail package goes on sale.
* The retail disc will contain extras, including a documentary, a cool project from our cinematic and animation team, every Halo 2 update released so far and possily one or two other little treats.
* By late summer, ALL the maps will be available for free.

Well I can say I was getting tired of Halo 2 without any new content, but now the soon to be released downloads (free and paid) is looking brilliant with new bigger and better maps with smarter layouts requiring more tactics and better team play.

I've seen this all over the net recently. And I can't wait for them to release!!

All i have too say is Half Life 2 is better then Halo 2..So good bye!

Points to Note:

-The autoupdate to fix weapons, cheating, glitches etc will be out on April 18th
-Split screen co-op has less HUD features (easier to play)


Weapons that will change with the update:
-Grenades.
-Magnum (pistol).
-SMG.
-Combo of Plasma and Human Weapons.

Some of the fixed Glitches:
-Flag Bouncing
-Elite melee ghosting
-Sword flying (not in normal offline campaign)
-Ghosted dropped weapon
-Modem standby

The first batch of new, downloadable Halo 2 multiplayer maps will be available on Monday April 25th for download on Xbox Live. Woot! The maps passed through Microsoft's certification process successfully today, which was all we were waiting for! We said we'd tell you as soon as we could, and we found out about an hour ago that they'd passed with flying colors.

Only a few days to go till the new maps...woot!

Tomorrow the new levels should be there for download, get practicing

Yay the new maps are super uber cool!Just got them yesterday lol, warlock is kinda like foundation to me, except of the structures in the center....1 qn: Is containment the biggest of the big map out there?Or is waterworks still the biggest?Cos it seems that containment is the largest now....

I think Containment is the biggest map now, me and cpr had a team slayer match on it (me and cpr vs 3 others) a little mad for such a huge map, great for hide and sneak..... lock, fire....no more enemy tank

oh and me and cpr won...slaughtered the other team
