they have to stay there until the new government is set up and they can take over. Until then the soldiers are stuck there. Dont expect them home any time soon.

The allied troops are no longer welcome.

They may no longer be welcome, but unfortunately for all of the troops and thier families, we started it, and now we have to stay there. If they leave now, that region will go into such major unrest, that we will have to go back with twice as many soldiers, and we will loose many more lives. Right now they can only hope for a speedy government formation and get pissed at the govt that put them there in the first place.

Well, it's jolly complicated, my dears; but you see: when you goes there to find weapons of mass destruction and you can't find none -you might just get away with saying the Saddam regime destroyed 'em or 'id 'em just before we got there.
But when you goes there demanding a regime-change and there ain't a regime: you can't just walk away and say that Saddam 'id it before we got there.
You gotta 'ave a new regime. Like that nice Mr Karzai in Kabul -a friend to peaceful democracy. Then you can walk away.

nobody suggested yet that theres a possibility of a war with another country that out government that cares so much about us are planning as we speak...does korea ring a bell???
