This worried me a little, and I hope someone can explain this for me. On this thread..
www.abovetopsecret.com...

I had 5 votes after 9 views. Okay?

A minute or so later I had 15 votes after 12 views. Huh?

How is this possible? Can someone please clear this up for me? Even if everyone voting was a mod that wouldn't account for the discrepancy.

Edit: Could this be a simple case of refresh rate discrepancy? Or is there some sort of automatic spellcheck + Vote-Bot in place? I'm really curious because I've thought it through and I can't quite figure it out.

Staff votes (moderators and people with more than 25 voted submissions) count for more than one. How much more is still somewhat open for refinement... but that's how it happened.

Ohhh, okay. I thought staff votes were locked in at 2 points. I guess since the threshold got raised to 20, it's been doubled, or at least increased.

I was just starting to think that too when I saw your reply.

Edit: Is there any way to find out how many up-voted submissions you have yourself? I'm curious because..well..I dunno. I guess I want to know when I cross that threshold into having extra votes. Perhaps a counter in the profile section? Or is the benefit of having a weightier vote a priviledge given on a case by case basis? In other words, does everyone with 25 ATSNN stories under their belt get extra voting clout, or just those associate with ATS (staff/management/writers)?

I am still unsure as to: how do i vote for an article...
there are several that i liked that were still in the voting process...
I assumed there would be a "vote" button somewhere and there isn't
Do i have a settings problem? or did i just not RTFM correctly?

It should be on the left hand side where the Avatar would normally be.

There will be a big button, with "Yes" and "No" buttons.

It has to be a submission. It will say (submission) in front and for the author.
You can't very well vote on an already approved article.

Must be a browser settings deal...
they were submissions with no author named, and didn't have a vote button...
just me i guess...

Oh well, I WANTED to vote... but couldn't... sounds just like the last election...
