LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- District Attorney Steve Cooley says Robert Blake was "guilty as sin" and the jurors who acquitted him of murder were "incredibly stupid."

A jury last week found the former "Baretta" star not guilty in the 2001 slaying of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, who was shot in a car outside a restaurant where the couple had dined. (Blake acquitted)

Jurors acquitted Blake of one murder count as well as one count of solicitation of murder. They deadlocked on a second solicitation count, with the vote 11-1 in favor of a not-guilty verdict.

This is pretty funny, but also serious. It calls into question the prosecutor's respect for our jury system. The prosecutor's job should be to seek justice under our system, not get everyone found guilty.

True. He was found innocent by jury. Thats that. He's free. The prosecutor IMHO should keep quiet.

I do however agree that Blake is probably guilty as sin, but thats nothing the prosecutor should be blabbing about. Case closed...Next...

Blake couldn't have done it. There wasn't enough gun powder
on him. He was tested right away too.

I have no doubt that he hired someone to do it .. I just don't
believe he pulled the trigger himself.
