Ad On ATS forums profiling members?

Ok, I know I am a n00b and everything here, but...

I found an ad here on the forums (before I was accepted) that said somthing like "Help this Site with a Refreshing Survey." And it had a picture of a cup of orange juice. It also said on the link when I clicked it "Thank you for helping make our site better." Now, I really doubt that ATS would use ads to improve the site. I am guessing someone...or an agency...could be profiling this site by the responses to the survey. It asks age, and race, and such. I didn't submit it though. The link the ad lead to:

Yes this is a survey used for marketing.
All the questions allow you to give a 'no' answer.

i'm surprised you all havn't added all these ad servers into your hosts file.
