No one knows who made that post of what people found out about it? Someone on this board must know something.

I still have no more information on this. Someone must know something. Who was the mod or admin that deleted this? They must be able to tell me something.

Hmmm, I answered to it also - now gone..

Anyways, no conspiracies there.. The IP's listed in the post resolved to the domain gen.twtelecom.net.. That doesn't sound too weird..

How do you know? Did you check the ips out again?

The post listed IPs...

...posting IPs is something we tend to frown upon here...as who knows WHOSE IP was being posted...

...for instance...wouldn't you be a little perturbed if someone started posting YOUR IP for every person (and possible Hacker) to see and use if they felt like it??

Hence, out of privacy for the person/organisation those IPs resolved to, the post was axed.

...thats my understanding of it anyway...

Peace,
ALIEN

HIhihihi, clearly you guys don't know that much about ip's:-D..

The ip's listed were 66.xx.xx.xx addresses, which is a so called A-net, which is only availiable to large coorperations and such.. Some of the nets are also leased to ISP's and therefore some of you probably have an IP from the A-net segment..

For anyone else seeing weird ip's, just go to a command line prompt and type: nslookup 123.123.123.123
Ofcourse you put the mystery ip in instead of the 123.etc address ;-).. This will show you the hostname registered with the adress, and in most cases this also shows you who own the address..

If you wanna get the big picture, then you can find entire IP Index's online where they list all the A, B and sometimes even C segment owners..

Info:
A nets: 1.0.0.0 - 127.0.0.0 mask 255.0.0.0
B nets: 128.0.0.0 - 192.0.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0
C nets: 193.0.0.0 - 255.0.0.0 mask 255.255.255.0

Why do those ip's have full access though? Should they have full access?

Full access to what? :-D... I didn't quite get what the original poster meant with level 15 access..

You don't have to explain how IP's work, thank you very much...

I had removed both of the level-15 posts (it was double posted, in two differrent forums).

It does not matter to whom the IP's belong, it's just not right to talk about port scannings, hacking and tracking IP's...

Why cant i know whoes the ip's are? If they have level 15 access i think it is important to find out who and why they have that kind of access.

The post also promoted hacking in a round-about-way. We do not tolerate discussions of hacking.
