I've been caught up in a couple of very violent situations in the past.
Self defense is an automatic response.
To voluntarily be violent is pretty hard for most people myself included.
Normal people should avoid it wherever possible.

People also behave differently in crowd situations. Nobody wants to be the first to get involved. If someone had actually done something in the situation above then, probably, others might have joined in to help.

Quite likely.

I think the intensity of the situation is the deciding factor.

To intervene in a life threatening situation requires the ability to accept that you might die doing so.

Apathy is not a new thing. It's been going on for millennia.

That's true.

Movie violence doesn't help. I'm not sure that many realise that you can kill someone easily in a sustained attack. Once someone is out cold and no longer a threat it's time to stop.

If the guy who did this was on PCP then normal humanity doesn't really apply. Quite disturbing.

Saw Cyprus Hill in Oakland California in the 90's.... I think. 🙄

After the show, some lady at the local 7-11 gave a speech on frying pans, eggs and brains...
I was going back to Nevada thinking about aliens and eggs....🍳🍳🍳🥚👽👽

Starting 20 minutes before the song How I could Just kill a Man plays, you'll notice everyone looking backwards for 20 minutes straight. A man was viciously attacked by a dude high on PCP the entire crowd watched this man die.

Ummm... ok, but, do you seriously expect anyone to watch a 6 hour video to try to see what you're talking about?

How about a mention of what time marker to start watching from?

Sustained attack? What do you mean by this? Multiple punches?

You don't need 'sustained attack'. If your body gets hit just once in a specific way, it will die. A two-year old has enough power to kill an adult man.

When you think about those things, 'sustained attack' seems a bit overkill, no pun intended.
