I'm not against immigration CA. I'm against immigration in a uncontrollable way. This isn't Holland. There are a quarter of a billion people here. There are 2 major points I get out of this article...

1 The overstayers " obeyed a government demand to register with the immigration service earlier this year,".

These people trusted the American govt's word that they would be safe. What have they recieved for their honesty? Deportation. What will they do? Hide and never trust the govt again.

Yet another case seen despairingly frequent now of the American govt lying to people.

Now these were the people who were honest they felt they had nothing to fear, that they could trust and govt and do the right thing, what this does is drive them into the hands of those who are dishonest, creating more people dissatisfied with the govt. These honsest sort of people are the sort that want in a society, they followed the laws, they had nothing to hide.

It sucks..

Now for my second point...

America as a nation tends to fluctuate between isolationism, and intervention through history. For example pre WW2 they were very isolationist, WW2 and after very interventionist.

What we have now is the rare mix of a country that is becomming both isolationist, AND interventionist. This is the worst possible combination.

So remove all arabic people from america and you are left with the sick stereotypes of "towel heads" and "fanatic muslims" because there is no interaction between americans and other minorities. That breeds an ignorance of other cultures and a one sided view of people.

Then you take these ignorant people and turn them into soldiers to enforce politically niave police actions. What do you get? Soldiers who see the people they are fighting as sub human, "towel heads" "gooks" all typical ethnocentric stereotyping based on ignorance.

What do you breed? Increased american hatred. Keep it up and eventually the world will rise up against America. Already americans wonder "why do others hate us so much" not seeing that their ethnocentric culture and ignorance of the rest of the world breed a type of person who is themeselves arrogent and ignorant.

U understood exactly the way i wanted to show the people the other side, thanks! Comprehension is one of the bests ways to disscuss a matter, no matter if u agree with the other, but at least understand his point of view, and respect it. Anyway itīs true, a lot of inmigrants are just wanting a decent life for their families and themselves, and they try to follow the rules and so on, but u canīt blame them all for the insanity of just a few. That is prejudice, and it isnīt fair.
