The mega-rich live by a different set of rules, mores, and etiquette than we do. It's possible their marriage is contractual, and that contract is up. Bill having a mistress would have little to do with it except to give the media and the peasants something to laugh at and ridicule. The other possibility is protection of their assets.

Well that's "not hard" to believe.
I mean it's not just about the software.
A guy needs to make sure his firmware isn't buggy,
or else his hardware won't work properly.

I'm actually a little shocked Bill would do this, even though I'm not a fan of him... I guess those attractive Chinese spies are quite effective.

Personally I believe this to be just another distraction. They seemed very close all along holding hands and smiling into each others eyes about vaxing the whole earth!

Two of the top 4 richest both married over 20 years divorced and dropped CEO jobs recently something is odd.

Look at the timing right in the middle of all of this, I think a divorce after 27 years could wait a bit they aren't kids!

Either one of them wants to remarry or they need to shield their money. Those are the only reasons I see to actually go through a legal divorce. Smells of Jesuitry. They have enough homes that they could avoid each other forever.
