Nuremberg was a sham as is clearly evidenced by the likes of Operation Paperclip.

But it had to be seen to be done, you see that's how justice works, even if she is blind, which by the way is not for the reasons provided.

Everything has its price, and back then, same as it is now really, information and power trump mass genocide in spades.

To a degree, the following is worth noting: Albert Speer played the Judges Nuremberg to the tune of trial. He told the court what they wanted to hear and denied any Holocaust knowledge. So he claimed enough collective responsibility to appease the prevailing winds and avoided the gallows.

The price of West German rearmament is the "clean German Army" myth. Arguably, the cost of Speer's tale is the start of Holocaust denial.

I used to listen to my grandfather and old neighbour back in the mis 80s, a Mr Gooberman, talk out the back garden in summertime, about what went on in the camps during the Holocaust.

The Man would tremble and shake with fear, have tears running down his face, never mind the numbers tattooed on his forearm that somewhat proved his misfortune in spades.

The things i herd uttered, and what i could even understand given my limited age, were the stuff of nightmares.

Somethings people cannot lie about, and the depths of depravity one group of supposedly human beings can meet out upon another has no bottom if we are honest.

Quite frankly humanities capacity for evil is beyond what most people can even imagine, and then some more.

Hello Duckie,

Wanted to thank you for your views and experiences you shared. History is a jaded version of the reality that really took place; written by the victors to justify their atrocities they did as well.

My family came to the USA from the Black Forest region of Germany just prior to WW1. My distant relatives had a farm in the region, and when the Kaiser took it all back, and then offered it for sale to them again, that was the final straw. My great, great, great grandfather got really mad, and said a damn war was coming, and it was time to leave.

During the war that did follow, the family got bad treatment from Americans due to their heritage.

General Patton, spoke admirably about the German people, he liked the German people but hated Nazi's. He wanted to rearm Germany, and go after the Russians as "allies" ! This got him fired... Ha! But one wonders how different the world would be now if that would have happened.

I now live in Australia for 10 years now. I left the USA, as I foresaw what is going on there now coming a long time ago. And I did not want any part of the s**tfight going on now. If a civil war were to break out there, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. It is rapidly becoming a commie cesspool. Politicians who care less about the Constitution, etc.

I love my new country very much despite all the bloody spiders and snakes! (wink)

Sadly, the far leftist garbage is raising its ugly head here too; most likely encouraged by the far lefts apparent successful coup in the USA. Time will tell if Australians will tolerate this BS or not. I fear that they just might swallow all the BS like everywhere seems to have swallowed the poison wilfully.

This crazy far left movement is going on world wide right now... with the backing and encouragement of the "hidden hands", and those who put prime ministers, and presidents into office; to mainly do their bidding. I am thinking of names like George Soros, Rothschilds, etc.

If Australia succumbs to this far left insanity, at least I will spend my final days in "woke prison", in a beautiful country, mostly still unspoiled by man. Still experience epic fishing, hiking, bird watching. Still lots of places one can look as far as one can see and know that there are no highways, etc going through your view. It is still wilderness. And these areas are protected to remain this way too.

I always wanted to visit my family's area of origins.. the Black Forest...and maybe even find the old farm area. But covid and my age will probably prevent it from happening.

Thanks again for your insight.

I never had the chance to have those kinds of discussions with my grandparents. My grandfather came from Eindhoven, Netherlands. He and my grandmother lived through the German occupation of Holland. I was never close to my grandfather, and I never met my grandmother. At one point, my grandfather, in the grips of dementia, relived his wartime experiences. His further decline freed him from that nightmare. (I never met my grandmother).

My gran and grandpa brought me up pretty much, my grandfather served in the Royal Navy on S class subs and then the HMS Searcher which was an escort carrier during WW2.

The dude i was refereeing to Mr Gooberman, he was just a kid/young man when he was in the camps, don't know what he did.

All seems like so long ago now, but such a vivid experience, weird how we remember colours, sounds, smells, and conversations like they were yesterday, and thats the nice ones. LoL

I watched my Gran slowly succumb to dementia xpert11, not a nice way to come apart at the seams, loved that woman to bits, both of them.

Hello pravdaseeker!

reads like you have come around a long road, do you feel at home in Australia?

The Black Forest has something magic and mysterious, don't know why. At morning and in the early morning hours, the people that live there might scoff about the tought but as early as a kid on trips there, I felt this. Even if you can not visit the Black Forest, you can always benefit from visiting any needle tree forest. The air is very healthy and anti bacterial from the aetheric (typo?) oils. Spruce and others, do you have these in Australia? That feels like a naive question but where's the conversation when we google everything

You may have equivalent forest with healthy air, forest air is general healthy and a bit cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Maybe eucalyptus forest, where the drop bears reside?
