As a Glaswegian with a thick accent i'll be impervious to this tech. Alexa lasted one day, useless hunk of crap.

Doesn't Glasgow have close to 500 cameras watching the public at all times, plus vehicles that drive around watching you guys?

I'd say, unfortunately, your times of being blissfully hard to understand is coming to an end.

Language is constantly evolving. New words will just be created or repurposed ( as in current but given new meanings ) to avoid the censors.
Really ...one man's offensive word is anothers everyday language .

Fortunately there's also around 1000 crimes being committed per second. They need more cameras.

F*)$k THIS SH!T

I’ll game however I choose. AND use all the colorful language to describe the thrill of victory and BS agony of grim defeat to sweaty nerds around the world while doing so. TYVM!

Get rekt NewSpeak Contact Speech Auditorz.

That is all.

I see references to 1984 all over ATS and I like it. How many of us have read that book? Looks like a good many of us have.

That was great!

Reminds me of the arkangle episode of Black Mirror, where a mother implants a daughter with a chip to see what her daughter sees and also apply filters on anything violent, it didn't end well. Great episode, worth a watch if your interested about what this technology could eventually become and result to.

An image of the software was revealed during Intel’s showcase.

The software includes a sliding scale to determine where a user wants to hear “none,” “some,” “most” or “all” speech that falls under a category of offensive language, including ableism, body shaming, aggression, LGBTQ+ hate, misogyny, name-calling, racism, xenophobia, sexually explicit language, swearing, white nationalism, and a slider determining how often the user wants to hear the “N-word.”

I had somethin funny to say, but the more i red i got stupider.

It's all nonsense. It's easy to speak words slightly differently, but have them convey the exact same meaning. It will only be a short time before their list of words to 'Bleep' is ridiculously long.

I am curious however, if the person who is being 'Bleeped' will immediately know about it each and every time, or if it will only be heard by the listeners, without the speaker realizing it. Either way, I'm sure it will quickly become annoying and distracting for the gamers.

eta: Hell, some people might even use it as a strategy. Intentionally causing bleeps for the sole purpose of annoying and distracting others.

Now you see, that wouldn't be removed.

But something like: "We could do so much better than Joe Biden!!", would be.
