Actually, he did nothing against Roman Law - he even told his followers to pay Roman taxes (Render unto Caesar ...)

Pilate at first refused to deal with Jesus via Roman Law, stating that he could find 'no wrong in him'. In the end it was purely fear that caused Pilate to order his crucifixion - fear of an uprising caused by the Sanhedrin who wanted Jesus killed.

(heheheh...I was insulting Christians in school today, got NOTHING against em most of the people in my family are Christian I was just annoying my friend because shes VERY religious, and I got beat up o_o...with rosary beads...o_o)
