Are "Way Aboves" working at the moment? I've received about 4 or 5 reply posts from users saying they voted a post of mine as "way above" and yet no U2Us regarding this. While it's possible they didn't actually vote, that many in a row seems a bit unlikely.

Hope this subject isn't already posted, I did check first in the recent board business posts to see if there was already a thread on this.

You dont get a u2u, but you get 250 ATS-Points for a "way-above"

Not to worry - nothing wrong - there are no u2u's or notices for WATS. ...The only way you know you have a vote is if someone chooses to tell you - which is why mine was such a surprise to me.

I'm not completely sure but I believe it's now a 20 point bonus for WATS votes.

Perhaps I asked the question wrong... I'm referring to those U2U messages entitled "Applause" by "Forum Staff" with message content like this...

"A member of the forum staff, XXXXX, has applauded your activity on this thread titled, XXXXXXXXXXX. Thank you for contributing to the quality of our forums. You received a 250 point bonus, keep up the good work. Do not reply to this U2U."

Or do those only happen under certain circumstances not related to the "Way Above" vote?

Yeah staff applause only come from staff. That's the auto-generated message and special circumstance.

The vote thing by members was supposed to be anonymous. People have taken to making posts when they do it though.

Kind of like stepping outside a voting booth on election day and asking for the attention of everyone waiting in line to say... Hey! I voted for NADER!

"Applause" is given by forum staff, usual members cannot do that, we have the "way above" thingy, and "Applause" turn your bar under the ATS-Points darker..from light red to orange, I guess
