Karen freaks out over children climbing a tree, the kids handle it perfectly. This is America.

p.s. Back in the day for rickymouse and to a certain extent, my day, cars didn't even have front seatbelts. Those cars were a lot safer because they had a full metal frame underneath them and plenty of METAL that they were built out of surrounding the passengers. They didn't have plastic bumpers like today's cars. Talk about stupid....

Are drivers better today since there are a lot less deaths per 100,000? lol I do not think a single mom arm bar stopped a kid from going through the window...just saying. We got these things call anti-skip disc brakes brakes that can stop a car about 40% shorter distance...lol

Those cars, back in the day, they were not safer..lol, metal dashboards, sh#tty brakes, no crumple zone engineering ..at all. Hell, even the wrap around windshields were no good, made the car weaker, pretty sure I took my knee out once in my 55 merc.

You cannot climb a tree on someone's property without permission. I spent a lot of time climbing trees when I was a kid, and the rule was the same. It is a liability issue, the woman is right to question the kid and tell him to get down, especially when the homeowner is not home. What happens if that kid gets hurt, it could be a lawsuit.

Except, according to her, the tree does not belong to any homeowner.

It's kinda hard to hear, but the first thing she says immediately at the start of the video is, "The tree is not on anybody's property." Then a few seconds later she says, "It belongs to this street and this neighborhood, and we don't want you on it."

It looks to me like a dog poo area.(there's a little white sign in the grass that says, "Clean Up After Your Dog.") So I was thinking maybe it belongs to the city.

In my opinion, if it's public property, and if there is no sign saying "Do not climb the trees." then it should be ok.

If I'm wrong and it actually is illegal, then instead of going all vigilante, shouldn't she just call the cops?
The kid says he knows the people who's tree it is....
....the owner of that house was not home according to the kid.

I would complain if some kids were climbing in the neighbors tree in town too if they were not the neighbors kids....watching out for your neighbors home when they are not around is good policy.

I think you missed my point, because according to her, that↑ is not what she was doing. It was not the neighbor's tree.

It doesn't matter whose yard the kid thought he was in. Nor does it matter that the homeowner wasn't home, or whether or not the kids had permission.

Because none of that mattered to her and she was the one with the problem. Also, according to her, the tree was not on anybody's property.

She just didn't want them to be in the tree in the same place where her dog poops.

This reminds me so much of nazi Germany in the 1930's.

Well, you make some good points and you may be right. I checked on some fatality statistics and in 1955, there were approximately 22 deaths per 100,000 people. The latest figures I found were from 2019 and that figure was approximately 11 deaths per 100,000 people. With those statistics, you would seem to be right. There must be more to the equation somewhere. But, in my mind I can't get past this question: If a semi truck was barrelling down upon you, ready to plow right over you, which would you rather be in - a brand new Chevrolet Cruze or a 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60? I would always choose the Cadillac, because I had one and know they were huge and built like a tank. True, I've never had a Chevrolet Cruze, so I have no experience about them. But, since I physically cannot fit in one, I guess I never will have any first-hand experience. I don't see how a person could be safer in a sardine can. I can't explain it, but I know I would feel a lot safer in a two-ton hunk of metal over a sardine can, which is what new cars are built like these days.

I didn't know that streets could own trees, but even IF she's is correct in saying, "It belongs to this street and this neighborhood.", then wouldn't that make it public property?

I probably would've told her that she needs to keep on walking because her fat ass is killing the grass she's standing on.

Unless the community has a home association thing. Could be a gated community? They have extremely strict rules.

Whatever the case. Mind your own business lady.

If the tree was on public property, we're all missing the issue at work here. Just like government buildings are "the people's houses," (buildings such as the Capitol building), this incident was an insurrection! Shame on those nasty, young insurrectionists!

It's all structural engineering, zones designed to crumple and absorb, while other structures keep shape better, and airbags, seatbelts..etc

I understand your tank view point, but there is one key component here...air bags and not just 2... They are all over the car. 300 HP is almost nothing today, so cars are even quicker... Even though I'm 60 my view point is more along the lines of I would rather be in a SUV then a VW, but your 18 wheeler scenario will pretty much kill anyone in either case.

I drive a sports car 400 hp and some young girl the other day decided to change lanes as I was right next to her. First my car started to scream at me in warning and it has extreme quick turning capabilities and breaking is super good. As she came across quickly I felt I had all the time in the world to follow her right as I break to get out of her way. I don't think it would have been the same in your Cadi though no one would be killed.

Funny story...a friend of mine had big old Lincoln, and when he had it full of people he had a hell of a time stopping. One day there was like 5 people in in and I looked over at him and he was very quite and I asked what was wrong...he said he had the break to the floor the last 50 feet before we stopped...lol

Something wrong with that lady for sure. But I have seen many like her. To overly pretentious and full of themselves. Kids should climb trees. In fact fall down break and arm or two. While there young it will heal in record time. When there old. They will never have a chance to climb a tree again. And if they fall a step or two, there hip just may go.

They will probably grow up and end up like this lady. To never know the joys of falling of a tree. Her opinions are about as meaningful as a duck quacking. And should equally as attention worthy. Dont even see what concern of her it is. That tree is freaking tiny to. Those kids are just hanging it looks like not that far off the ground.

But ya. I get it. Would not want to have the kids damage the tree now.

In Hitler's mind, communism was a major enemy of Germany, an enemy he often mentions in Mein Kampf. During the trial for his involvement in the Beer Hall Putsch, Hitler claimed that his singular goal was to assist the German government in "fighting Marxism". Marxism, Bolshevism, and communism were interchangeable terms for Hitler as evidenced by their use in Mein Kampf:

"In the years 1913 and 1914 I expressed my opinion for the first time in various circles, some of which are now members of the National Socialist Movement, that the problem of how the future of the German nation can be secured is the problem of how Marxism can be exterminated."

Jesus, in today's world it should be refreshing to see kids playing OUTSIDE! Climbing trees! Taking a break from the electronics! And we wonder why we don't see much of this these days??

So what if it's a neighborhood tree? I'm beginning to see way too many kids getting harassed for merely being outside. You want to talk about safe spaces and PC police? How's about the Karens of the suburbs learn to loosen up too eh?

Ugh, that’s my mother all over again..
