I see what you're talking about, here goes a screenshot of that particular scene:

It's visible over the course of several frames, remains stationary.

The source image from NASA/JPL is available at the link below:

You're welcome. In the meantime, I checked other images and it does seem probable that it's a damaged part of the sensor of "Mastcam-Z Left". This dark spot appears in different images, always at the same location:

We had the same issue with Curiosity's Mastcam some years back, where a small dark spot appeared on every image in the same location. Nevertheless, well spotted!

Could just be dust on the lens. No way to tell size or distance.

Excellent video, I am not certain but it looks like it may be Deimos, the smaller of the two asteroid moons that orbit the planet mars.

Ahh Jeep3r has solved it damage in the CCD creating a dead sensor pixel (or cluster of them).

They may be able to map it and fix the problem by interpolating data from the surrounding pixels coupled with information during movement, sadly it will always leave a paucity of information in that tiny region of the sensor but at least it is just one tiny section and I hope that sensor is not prone to some kind of cascade failure.

It’s a rock, obviously, supported by The 1% Martian atmosphere.
