I’ve mentioned here before that I have direct knowledge of over a dozen people that have had covid 19.
The majority have had mild to moderate flu symptoms and one lady had no symptoms at all and only knew because she was tested at her job.

This story is about Andy.
He’s 48.
Today was his 58th in the hospital after being admitted with breathing issues.
A trach and *ECMO* for the last month.
He was in a coma until about a week ago.

Today was an amazing day.
Andy sat in a recliner today for an hour with assistance.
Baby steps...

The kung flu can kiss my @$$...

“ECMO is a machine that removes carbon dioxide and adds oxygen to blood”

I was in the hospital for over a month recently...

I spent more time taking covid tests than talking to, hearing about, or being exposed to covid patients.

Glad to hear stories about it though. They killed the whole country for a reason, right?

And yet we still have covid deniers out there, and right here. Hard to believe.

I’ve never met a covid denier.

I have a couple right in my family. They try to claim covid is not real at all, just made up. Ploy to bla, bla, bla and so on. No reasoning with them.

You can pick your nose but not your family.

There are cases like Andy’s unfortunately, even though most are nowhere near as severe.
Was the shutdown really worth it?
I don’t think so.
The long term effects will be much worse than just using common sense.

Neither have I. I've met many who ask questions, though.

The usage of the "denier" word is a disgusting and calculated method of associating people who ask questions with holocaust deniers. We see it with "climate deniers" also. It's repulsive and intended to deter others from asking questions.

I sympathise with your friend and I also know a few folk who have had covid but, thankfully, they are all fine now. One was hospitalised briefly but even she thinks that this current behaviour is way too over the top.
She is a nurse of over twenty years experience.

Frustrating when people think for themselves, ask tough questions, and have a different opinion than you huh?

So can you confirm Andy doesn't have any other underlying conditions?
Did the give any form of supplementation of vitamins? Can assume he hasn't got high levels of D, or or taken any ivermectin
.

Must have pretty good insurance or will he be financially crippled after this?

No doubt covid exists. Justification for a landslide of draconian laws and mandates which fly in the face of common sense and basic science I’m not so sure about. The total destruction of personal freedom in the name of security, the erosion of civil liberty and the vast over exaggeration of the pandemic by the media, again not related to the virus.

Personal anecdotes regarding viral symptoms, going to need more than that to convince me to inject my children with experimental vaccines.

Hope you're hanging tough out there.

Most people get through it, but those it drags on it really seems to do a whammy on them.

As far as I know he was mostly healthy.
He was an umpire in little league and is almost to the World Series level.
You need to work up the ladder to get there.

Not sure about the insurance.
He has a go fund me page but I refuse to use that company, I just told my wife to send them a check since she knows a good friend of Andy’s wife.

There must be an underlying condition in this guy to have spent that long in the hospital. They say that the majority of people who have severe covid have a bacterial or fungal infection in the blood. It is possible that the guy did not know he had an infection. Also, if the guy is fighting something like lyme disease that can weaken his immune system it might make it easier to get a worse case. No doctor I know would test for lyme disease when there was a covid infection, and even a bladder infection might not be caught. Did they test the blood for microbes?

Just because someone is active in sports does not mean they eat well and have immunity. In fact, if the immune system isn't fighting, there is more energy for doing things, people avoid foods that take away their energy a lot of time if they want to be active. You can block immunity with simple dietary changes, protease inhibition sometimes helps to keep viruses at bay, most athletes do not want their ability to digest proteins inhibited.

What I find difficult to understand is the fact so many people accept everything they are told, everything, question nothing and no one
Give up everything because they are told to

No doubt covid exists.

So did, "Duck and Cover."

Covid has been wielded by the government. It is the Hammer of Terror for today's generation.

People need to be held responsible. They need to be stripped of their fortunes. Stripped of their citizenships. Maybe beaten to death. If not, I can think of a good place to build a new Pyramid Complex. Oughta keep 'em busy for the rest of their lives.

Wrong is wrong ... and punishment is in order ... big time.
