Love or hate him, he was hugely influential.

My personal favorite was operation chaos. When he had a bunch of conservatives go out and vote in the dem primaries just to mess with Hillary.

He was hated by the left. I'm sure a bunch of people will be celebrating his passing on the interwebs today.

Rush Limbaugh, the monumentally influential media icon who transformed talk radio and politics in his decades behind the microphone, helping shape the modern-day Republican Party, died Wednesday at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, his family announced.

Limbaugh's wife, Kathryn, made the announcement on his radio show.

The radio icon learned he had Stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump at the State of the Union address days later. First lady Melania Trump then presented America’s highest civilian honor to Limbaugh in an emotional moment on the heels of his devastating cancer diagnosis.

My bad. I even checked again before I posted because I couldn't believe it hadn't been posted yet.

And I gave you a S&F anyway

It was very touching hearing the news from his wife.
His wit and wisdom will not only be missed...but will never be matched.
Rush is irreplaceable.

Thank you for decades of sharing your great talent with so many of us, Rush.

Agreed.

The man had his finger on the pulse of politics, there's no doubt about it.

He was sharper than a vast majority of pundits, right or left

He also wasn't hateful, which is big for me. He was always half joking. He just called things how he saw them without seething (most of the time).
