What ever happened to the speculation that Denver International Airport had a huge underground bunker system?
I haven't heard anything in years about it.

Just watching Star gate SG1 over again and googled Cheyenne Mountain to find out more about it and saw it was closed in 2006 (reopened now due to the "covid panic". Were those operations formally at the mountain maybe moved under the airport?

DIA finished in 1996 and 11 years later Cheyenne closes..... Maybe the airport opened in '96 and it took longer to finish the underground areas and equip it and stock it?

If something crazy happens where the President has to evacuate it would be easy to land Airforce 1 and go straight underground than lad the plane and then have to travel to the mountain.

The tunnel system links all Sec sites to different STATES.

Some you can fit 2 737's wing to wing

Actually, some you can fit almost (49) 737-900's, wingtip to wingtip, inside...just not with the fuselages attached!

I heard that they use the old 737 bodies as the cars on the inter-state underground hyperrail system. Why do you think American moved to 319's and 787's?
