Returning to the Moon.. now what?

Do you think after all the years of studying these beings we feel confident enough to return to a place we were told to stay far away from. I believe we may know enough about these species to challenge their technology. Its funny how we avoid any missions to the moon in over 30 years and now that we are at the prime of our technology, we are returning. Maybe the little green men are not as strong as they appear.
