Structure in front of White House?

What is the structure in front of the White House ?

Closet thing I could find was a USAtoday article
Saying there’s not a “wall” there, but if you go to live cam; there is clearly what appears to be a “viewing stage” of sorts?

Any structural engineers, architects, or anyone know what this is? And IF it was for inauguration, why was it just finished a couple days ago?

Your first link was apparently filmed when Trump was still at the White House, brcasue it is full of "Trump must go" posters. How much bearing would it have on present circumstances?

In fact I see "fence was put up to increase security on Election Day".

That’s all the info I could find, from 8 different search engines...... everything else I’ve found is just speculation...

This seems very interesting. I wonder what it is. I was looking at the live stream when it suddenly zoomed in on the White House so the structure couldn't be seen in the view anymore. I looked at street view and I don't see it on there.

I'm bumping this. I'm very curious what it is!

I don't know how to get a better screen shot of this.

I've recently heard (July 2022) from a fairly good source that this structure is a gallows that will be put back in place when it's time for the hangings.
