Indicator light so that the deaf can know when the 'phone rings.

Amazon - Phone-ringer-light

I've actually found those to be useful in a couple of places where it's noisy, and it's a requirement to have double hearing protection on.

The light flashes and I tell everyone to stop doing what their doing and answer the phone.

Except by consumer. Once you buy it, you can do whatever you want to it.

Ah, yes but have you ever watched a deaf person pick up the 'phone and hold the handset in front of them with a blank expression - priceless visual comedy.

I'm sure, but all the deaf people I know only use their phones to text.

Alcohol free beer

As a young teenager (14 ish), i once spent a very happy evening watching a lad i didn't like pretend he was getting drunk at a party whilst drinking Kaliber (alcohol free beer from Guiness). That was a great night and he was a proper tit. Happy days!

I starred it, but I'm talking about things that were created when there really wasn't a need for it.

Useless inventions aren't necessarily a bad thing. They can be fun or odd, but they are generally useless because there is no high demand for them.

I can agree with those.

Just goes to show that one doesn't need alcohol to make an idiot out of themselves!
