U.S. files conspiracy charge against Oath Keeper leader in alleged plot against the Capitol

A charging affidavit says he helped organize a group of eight to 10 individuals, including self-styled Ohio militia members apprehended Sunday, who wore helmets and military-style gear and were seen moving purposefully toward the top of the Capitol steps and leading the move against police lines.

The affidavit cited a Jan. 1 Facebook message in which Caldwell said he had scouted lodging for several others at a Comfort Inn in Ballston, Va., about eight miles from the Capitol that “would allow us to go hunting at night if we wanted to.”

Justice is finally being served to those who planned to violently overthrow our constitution. This will teach the dumb and reckless terrorists living in our midst that they have no place in our society. It’s true that there were instigators and accelerators in the midst of the cultists and protesters in DC on Jan 6, for it was these right wing extremists and narcissists.

Many arrests of the members of this quixotic group have been made already. Hopefully sedition is the lesser of all charges they face. Either way, America is made much better by having this scum taken off the streets.

Stewart Rhodes is the leader of Oath Keepers and he sure as hell wouldn't/didn't sanction this.

I don't know anything about the Oath Keepers. Don't care to.

What I do know, is that Vice President Pence took an oath to uphold the constitution and he did. In doing his duty to certify Biden's win.

And then I heard huge crowds saying, "hang Mike Pence".

If these Oath Keepers were any part of that, they are a joke.

Defund police
no charges against rioters
pay their bail to get them out

When there's protests and riots where they live and work they want:

Martial law
Military control
Fences
Treason charges

Agreed. I've hated him for years for his blind obedience to Trump but the guy has morals and stood up when it mattered.
